In 2017, the media and entertainment industry is estimated to have accumulated to an excess of $1.7 trillion USD in revenues, which is comparatiely 2.5% of the global GDP. As one of the major reason for this price hikes in the Media and Entertainment Industry being centered around Digital Ads and Marketing and as these numbers continues to surge rapidly, these media and entertainment Moguls have resorted to more sophisticated means of an on-line Advert Placements that is specifically targets every Consumer based on their preference. As the entire world continually embrace technology leaving behind the traditional modus operandi for a much more media-savvy technology, businesses tends to channel their advertising resources to this prospective world of on-line advertising since they stand to benefit from an increased availability of consumer data and improving software for data algorithms to track down consumers’ preferences and thus creating better tailored ads.

Token Economics

The OIO token is a utility token generated specifically in order to bootstrap the development of the Online.IO platform. In order for website Operators and Administrators to implement and initiate any service upon the Online.io solution they would have to acquire OIO tokens to be able to receive ICE tokens based on the time spent by their visitors on their webpages. The OIO tokens required to manage the websites, will be kept on an Ethereum smart contract. After the token generation event, 15% of the total number of token’s generated would be reserved for by the team for a period of 1 year. The OIO token is responsible for the generation of the ICE token.The ICE token is unlimited, but the issued amount is reduced 30% each year for 10 years. After 10 years, the number of ICE tokens generated per year remains fixed.

By convention the platform utilizes two tokens;

OIO Tokens:

OIO Tokens are the key element in the ecosystem. The web operators will be required to stake OIO Tokens in order to use our technology and mine ICE tokens. (through Proof-of-Stake and Proof-of-Online algorithms). This token is generated once.

ICE Tokens:

This is a subsidiary Token that is mined on a weekly basis. The purpose of the ICE coin is to be used for micro-payments and daily use. It is being mined on a weekly basis. Of the total ICE tokens generated every week 20% would be reserved for OIO token holders, 20% would be reserved for future development of the platform and 60% reserved for the Web Operators.

Trust token (TST):

This token exists only within the private Blockchain. It is used mainly for incentiving Users by stimulating to rank the various websites available on the platform and for ranking gamification.
